WHAT IS A COCK CAGE?

A cock cage is a device used to control, deny and even punish! Generally the cock cage will be a tube or sheath that goes over the penis and connects to a ring that sits behind the scrotum; these two pieces are then locked together. They can be used for short play sessions or worn for extended periods of time for those with a fetish for chastity and orgasm control.

BUYING A COCK CAGE

Before you buy your cock cage, you should do some research and be clear on what you want. Do you want the cage for a kink scene? Metal cages are great for heavy play. Or for all day wear? Silicone and plastic cages are better suited for extended use.

You also need to measure yourself while you’re flaccid to make sure you get the right fit. If it is too big, it wont work, if it is too small, your dick will fall off. Just kidding, but seriously, we’ll get to safety later.

To figure out what size you need you will need three measurements, the ring size, the penis length and the penis diameter. The ring should fit around the base of your penis and sit behind your scrotum snug enough it wont slip off. The length should fit so the tip of the penis just presses on the end of the cage, not enough that the penis is compressed or that you are uncomfortable. The diameter measurement is to make sure the cage houses your penis comfortably, not too tight that the skin will be irritated and not too loose that you’ll be able to get an erection.

Picking a design you like can be tricky as there are plenty of styles of cock cages on the market. Do some research to find what style will suit your needs.  Once you have purchased your cage, it is recommended you give yourself a little tidy up. Trimming pubic hair can help prevent tangles – but leave a little bit to protect your skin from any chafe.

Before putting it on, familiarize yourself with it. Take it apart, put it together, see how it works. Then when you are comfortable, get that sucker on! Water based lubricant is a handy sidekick if this is your first time putting on a cage or ring.  Once its on, check how you feel. Is it too tight? How is it sitting? Is there any discomfort? What colour are your testes?

Here’s the safety part..

IF YOUR BALLS ARE COLD, TAKE OFF THE CAGE IMMEDIATELY. IF YOUR BALLS OR PENIS GO BLUE OR PURPLE, TAKE OFF THE CAGE IMMEDIATELY.

Never ignore signs of discomfort, itchiness or pain.

Clean your cage with warm soapy water, if you are wearing it every day, you need to clean it every day. Dry thoroughly and store it in its case or drawstring bag.

THE KEY MASTER

One of the most important things to remember when being locked up is the key. Your dominant having the key to your freedom is partly what cages are about! But it is a good idea to ALWAYS have a spare key on you. Most padlocks will come with two keys. Separate them and keep one in a safe place or on your person if you’re going out and about. This tip can save you a trip to the emergency room.

Always play within set limits, respect safe words and prioritize the physical, emotional and mental needs of those involved.
